Industrial subsidies in Chhattisgarh — common questions
Which incentives does the Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Policy 2024–30 offer?
The policy offers benefits such as capital investment subsidy, interest subsidy, stamp duty exemption, electricity duty exemption, mandi fee relief for eligible agro units, project report subsidy, and quality certification and export-related support. The rates depend on the sector, the size of investment, the location and the category of enterprise. ITFC maps exactly which benefits your unit qualifies for.
When should a promoter start planning for subsidies?
At the project-report stage, before the investment is committed. Several benefits require the unit to register its investment and obtain an acknowledgement before commercial production, and the project structure affects eligibility. Planning late is the most common reason eligible units lose benefits.
What is a thrust or high-priority sector certificate?
It is a certification from the Directorate of Industries that a unit falls in a sector the State wants to promote. It unlocks enhanced incentive rates. ITFC prepares and follows the application alongside the production certificate.
Can an expansion project claim incentives?
Eligible expansion and diversification projects can claim incentives on the additional investment, subject to the policy's conditions. ITFC assesses eligibility when the expansion is planned, together with the expansion consents and EC amendment.
What does ITFC do after a subsidy is sanctioned?
We follow each claim through committee sanction to disbursement, respond to queries, and file the periodic claims and returns some incentives require, so the money actually reaches the unit's account.
