Shri Lalit Kumar Singhania began the practice in Raipur in 1983, giving financial consultation and technical guidance to the small and medium units then coming up across the region.
The firm was incorporated as Indus Technical & Financial Consultants Private Limited in 1990. Environmental consultancy grew into a core practice — impact assessment, monitoring and pollution control — and in 2003 ITFC began advising units on greenhouse-gas emission-reduction projects under the Clean Development Mechanism.
Today ITFC is a single-window partner for promoters of steel, sponge iron, power, cement and process industries in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha. One team handles the environmental consents, the land and the licences, the project report and the bank finance, and the State incentives an investment earns.
