FAQ

Project finance — common questions

What is the difference between a DPR and a TEV study?

A Detailed Project Report is the promoter's plan for the project — technology, cost, means of finance and projected financials. A techno-economic viability (TEV) study is an independent assessment of that plan that lenders rely on before sanctioning a loan. ITFC prepares DPRs and TEV studies to lender standards.

What does debt syndication involve?

Preparing the bankable proposal, approaching suitable public-sector banks and financial institutions, negotiating terms, and supporting the promoter through appraisal, sanction and documentation. ITFC handles term loans and working capital for industrial projects.

What project sizes does ITFC handle?

From ₹1 crore to ₹2,000 crore, with most mandates between ₹5 crore and ₹250 crore, across steel, sponge iron, power, cement, ethanol and process industries.
